New World Announces Merges of Servers

The new MMO New World announced that it would merge the first batch of servers. Many servers were launched in the initial stage, but now the impact has subsided, and the first server merger is being planned. But you have to be careful. This is an announcement from Amazon: At noon on Saturday, November 7, 2021, an official statement from New World was published in a post on the official forum, which promoted the Server Association.



Why do people want server alliances?

New World's server structure enforces such measures.

New World relies on a classic server model with many relatively small servers. This is unusual in 2021. Most MMORPGs have flexible servers where you can switch channels (Black Desert), server clusters (WoW), and even super servers (The Elder Scrolls Online): use this structure. You don't have to increase or decrease the number of servers frequently. The advantage of a small server is that you can know the people on the server. For example, if a group of invading players invades, it will have a direct impact.


The disadvantage now is this effect:

In the release phase, under the maximum load, there are long lines, people yelling more servers, and more and more worlds are open
