Dungeons are an essential part of Diablo IV, offering players the opportunity to gain loot, experience, and powerful items. In the Early Access and Open Beta, players will have access to an array of different dungeons in various regions of Sanctuary. Upon completion of a dungeon, players will unlock legendary powers within the Codex of Power and will also receive experience, Diablo 4 gold, and renown.
The objectives vary in each dungeon, ranging from activating gate controls, freeing prisoners, collecting animus from certain monsters, finding and returning bloodstones, finding and destroying constructs, defeating all enemies in the area, activating levers, and defeating the boss. Some dungeons require the player to first clear a stronghold before they can be accessed.
In addition to the main objectives, players may encounter side quests that lead them to specific areas of the dungeon. There are also two shrines in each instance of a dungeon that can be activated for additional benefits.
Finally, Nightmare Dungeons are a powerful endgame mechanic that can be accessed by crafting Nightmare Sigils from the Occultist. This will empower the dungeon with harder enemies and better loot.
Overall, dungeons are an important part of Diablo IV and should not be overlooked. Players should take advantage of the dungeons available to them during the Early Access and Open Beta to maximize their loot, experience, and rewards.
