Anticipation is building for the Path of Exile 3.23 expansion. Expected to launch in early December, this release promises an ambitious scope and potential enhancements. To bridge the gap, GGG is planning various in-game events for November. Additionally, fans can look forward to more news on Path of Exile 2 and a rotation in core supporter packs. As always, may your loots be ever in your favor!
Release Date Prediction
Grinding Gear Games (GGG) indicated that the expansion would launch early in December. Connecting the dots, and considering the usual announcement-to-launch pattern, we expect the release to be on either December 1st or December 8th for players in the contiguous United States. Those in Australia or similar time zones can look towards December 2nd or December 9th. This assumption is built around the tradition where GGG's livestream announcement is usually 8 days prior to the league's start.
Scope of 3.23 Expansion
3.23 is rumored to be ambitious. GGG hinted that due to the grand scope of this update, they needed additional time for its development. Given the significant improvements we saw in 3.20, especially with the Atlas enhancement and the changes to Eldritch Alters, we can only imagine what's coming next. While I'd personally love to see the Sering Xar Eer of the World System get an upgrade or a new Eldritch influence, the exact details remain a mystery.
Events to Keep Players Engaged
Owing to the delay, the Ancestor League's duration will be extended. Mid-league typically sees a decline in player activity, particularly among those who invest the most hours. To cater to these players, GGG plans to host special events throughout November, offering a fresh way to engage with the game.
End of League events will be dominant in November, with further details expected in the coming weeks. One popular event we might see again is the Endless Delve. GGG, if you're tuned in, it might be wise to run Endless Delve as the second event, offering a buffer between two events that might feel similar.
Path of Exile 2 Updates
Another treat for the community will be the additional information on Path of Exile 2, expected to be released during the November livestream.
Core Supporter Packs Rotation
Lastly, for the collectors and supporters out there, GGG plans to rotate their core supporter packs. The one with the Atlas Hideout and Voidborn Reliquary Key Commissions is making its exit, and we're eager to see its successor. The intention behind introducing items like the Voidborn Reliquary Key was to offer something with a feel akin to divination cards, but with a lesser impact on the game balance. Hopefully, GGG comes up with a befitting successor to this concept.
