World of Warcraft has tons of ways to make gold, but one that not many people have ever thought about is buying stuff off vendors! That's right, Vendor-Tron 1000 and Super-Seller 680 sell a few items that you can flip for a big profit. This method isn't going to work for everyone due to the competition and limited availability of items, but if you are looking for some cheap raid consumables or a lazy way of making gold then this might be for you.
Strategic placement of alts
When doing this method efficiency is key. Instead of following the caravan route, I would suggest placing alts at the vendor location. This allows you to buy the item as soon as it pops on the vendor instead of chasing down the vendor which will always be slower and less profitable. It also prevents you from dealing with other players who snipe your items.
Vendor Locations & Timings
The vendors alternate between these two spots and their exact locations can be found on WoWhead. Each time the caravan travels from one point to another takes about 22 minutes with a 10 minute break at arrival.
Items to Buy & Sell
Both Vendor-Tron 1000 and Super-Seller 680 sell: Scroll of intellect II, Scroll of stamina II, Scroll of agility II, Scroll of strength II, Greater healing potion, Greater mana potion. All these items are in high demand for raids especially scrolls. Also keep in mind they sell cooking recipes as well though I didn't include them in my calculations.
Profitability & Auction House Strategy
On my server these items (especially potions/scrolls) sold very well. In total I sold around 9g worth of profit. However different servers will have different economies so it's important to check your current economy before wasting your time. Be prepared to repost items if they don't sell immediately aswell.
Conclusion
While this vendor flipping strategy may not work for everyone, it's something worth exploring if you're in Desolace or looking to make some gold with very little effort. Be sure to adapt based on your specific server and the phase of the game.
