Diablo 4 Season 3 Update: Class Changes, Runes and Enhanced Gameplay

Get ready for the update of your life! That's how season 3 was presented to me. The developers teased a big reset of their class system and another Diablo-like Rune System.

Season 3 Class Changes Confirmed

Firstly, let's talk about the confirmed class changes. Adam Jackson will be joining us on the stream as confirmed by Diablo 4's Lead Class Designer in his participation to the upcoming developer stream. He will be discussing adjustments made to each class tailored at providing both veterans and newbies with a balanced and fun experience, thus finetuning gameplay and introducing new strategies for players.

Rune System Revival

One of the most interesting moments of teaser trailer for season 3 was a few hints towards introducing rune system once again. It is expected that this will change beyond just numbers, thus having different impacts on certain game mechanics. It is anticipated that this might completely transform skillsets through runes hence players' anticipation towards further information.

Seasonal Mechanics and Eternal Additions

Besides class changes, the developers have also committed to revealing brand new seasonal mechanics. Among these features is Gauntlet, which is a weekly resetting challenge dungeon meant to create competition in leader boards referred to as Hall of Ancients. This feature that will remain in the game even after Season 3 ensures that there are more content available after Season 3.

Further Developments

There won't be any changes pertaining the Codex of Power in season three but Adam Fletcher has said not to worry because it is happening in season four. Also slated for March is ray tracing technology upgrade targeted at people who like high fidelity graphics.

Developer Stream and Patch Notes

The developer stream will take place on Thursday, January 18th at 9:00 AM Pacific Time. With all that we need to discuss during this session it promises to be extensive. Patch notes will be made available five days before the start of Season 3, right after the stream. Though they deviated a bit from their regular timeline due to holiday schedules, the team has emphasized on their commitment to transparency and timely updates.

As we wait for these amazing Diablo 4's Season 3 developments, know that we will be putting together a comprehensive post-stream summary for those who do not have much time. Remember to like, subscribe, and turn on your notification bell on Diablo 4's latest news.
