Today, I'll take you through Season of Discovery gold farm. This is the most profitable adventure I've ever had! In this article, I will be focusing on Cave Farming in the Thousand Needles.
Why Thousand Needles Cave Farm is a Gold Mine
For gold farmers, the cave in Thousand Needles is a treasure. The outdoor centaurs are at a higher level than their outdoor counterparts and you will have more chances to loot rare (blue) or uncommon (green) items. The spawn rate is impressively fast, so you can kill mobs continuously with no or little downtime.
Strategy for Success
Here we go, on to the gold farm. For this reason you should aim at the accumulation of Silk Cloth drops and raw silver along with vendor gray items. To earn more GPH (gold per hour), focus on rare and uncommon stuff that has high prices in AH.
During my five-hour farming session, I was trying to optimize my mob engagement and loot efficiency. What was the result? Almost 10g from raw silver alone and gray items alone. My loot also included blue items- Feet of Lynx- which fetched an additional 24.5g after being auctioned.
Auction House Mastery
After putting up all the items on auction house their total market value came up to 446.5g, while direct sales plus raw loots resulted in about 70g (excluding the blue drop). This means that this cave farm gives out 14-15 GPH all day long hence guaranteed income.
Final Thoughts
Thousand Needles cave farm has similarities with other farms in Phase One: Season of Discover such as it relies heavily on consistent gold sources such as cloth or skins and less often lucrative rare item drops. My raiding party found some interesting stats on the items, for instance there was a piece of gear that hunter could wear with agility bonus. Nevertheless, I still think that Feet of Lynx stands out above all others.
