The Duelist is Path of Exile's strength/dexterity hybrid class, making him unmatched at dealing and steering clear of injury. In Path of Exile Ranged skills, use ranged weapons (bows and wands) to execute attacks. The damage of these attacks is determined by the weapons outfitted.
[Poe 3.9] Elemental Hit Crit - 5-8k Life - 4-10m DPS - Overleech + CC Immune
You can easily make this better than the Resolute Technique build without having to spend much more. You can then build from there; the ceiling is very high.
Pantheon:
Lunaris/Solaris (Major) – Shakari (Minor)
Bandits: Help Alira
Ascendancy: Endless Hunger > Brutal Fervour > Overwhelm > Headsman.
Leveling:
First of we like to start by saying that ele hit is not the highest skill to level with on day 1 of the league or in SSF since u need the threshold jewels + ‘Avatar of Fire’ to even be up to par with other skills. You can level while using all elements with ‘Elemental Equilibrium’ (do not use AoF or Combat Focus jewels in combination with this, u will completely tank the little damage that you have), but it's not that great either.
However, for those of you who do wish to level elemental hit, thi3n has a pretty good leveling guide on how to approach this. It's an RT build (Can't go crit anyways until jugg ascendancy), so we will have to respec some nodes after done leveling to transform this into the crit version.

[Poe 3.9] Cheap to start with Big shatters Lightning Arrow Slayer
This Guide is always WIP as im playing LA every league (not exclusive though). I'll add stuff from time to time. Its a pretty default softcore bow build using the generic offensive and defensive slayer perks and some abyssal/league specific items.
Pros:
+ big shatters
+ strong Slayer mechanics:
+ generic damage
+ increased area of effect
+ cheap Poe Currency to start with
+ good scaling into the endgame
+ feels tanky with cheap gear compared to Dead Eye
+ easily killed: Shaper / Guardians / Uber Atziri / Vaal Temple / Red Elder
+ no Blood Rage degen (if u want)
Cons:
- not as fast as a Deadeye
- you are not immortal (compared to a 100ex RF jugg -.-)
Bandit
Alira is the only real option here. She offers damage and helps to resist while having alot of uniques.
Ascendancy
Headsman > Bane of Legends > Endless Hunger > Overwhelm
Pantheon
Major God:
The soul of the Brine King was a must-have to avoid chain stuns.
This is not mandatory anymore and can be exchanged for the physical damage reduction nodes. Keep in mind that we are only stunned immune while leeching.
Minor God:
It's up to you take a defensive option like Soul of Gruthkul or Soul of Garukhan.

[Poe 3.9] Cheap, Tanky, Fast and Fun Physical Slayer – Very Detailed Guide
This is a guide to Physical ST Slayer. It is a perfect league starter, can be used in SSF and scales to do all content in the game. It is a lot of fun to play as it is fast and tanky, has good apparent speed, and quickly destroys all bosses. Slayer’s damage numbers may be lower than other classes (like Berzerker, for example), but you also need to take into account the 20% cull from Bane of Legends. This is an excellent feature for boss fights. Most difficult bosses have various stages that get progressively more difficult as their life is depleted. Take Shaper, for example. His 3rd stage is the most difficult because of the clone that attacks independently. Bane of Legends cuts these difficult late stages, mostly in half, by culling the boss at 20%. Indeed a great benefit to the class that is worth much more than the 25% damage increase it represents.
On top of all that, you get high survivability with endless leech, can facetank most bosses, no physical reflected damage and stun, and bleed immunity.
Finally, we use the “Damage on Full Life” support gem, which gives us a huge percentage of our damage but only if we have a full life. Slayer leech makes sure we meet this condition almost 100% of the time. Only a CI build uses Damage on Full Life better than a Slayer!
Pros:
+ Can easily do all content in the game
+ Cheap, nonmetal gear
+ Fast and fun to play, 0.5-sec Whirling Blades, easy to dodge boss slams
+ 2-button build. We only use ST and WB, and everything else is automated
+ 7K life without Belly
+ Huge leech
+ Good clear speed
+ Good boss killing ability
+ Great league starter
+ Stun, bleed and reflect immunity built-in
+ Suitable for SSF
+ Accessible to level, all skills available very early
+ No required gear
+ Not likely to get nerfed (no meta gear or mechanics)
+ Spectral Wolves + HoP Sentinels as decoys
+ Every party loves Slayer cull
Cons:
- We have to switch a gem for clear/single target
- Not the current meta million DPS build
Ascendancies:
Endless Hunger, Brutal Fervour, Headsman, Bane of Legends
Endless Hunger is our priority. Together with Brutal Fervour, it is Essential what makes a Slayer.
Brutal Fervour gives us endless leech and more damage.
Headsman gives us a conditional damage increase and protects us from reflect.
Bane of Legends gives us onslaught and 20% cull, which are significant damage boosts.
Bandits:
Kill all is the best option.
Pantheon:
Pantheon powers are entirely subjective for most builds. I use Soul of Solaris because “Take no extra damage from critical strikes if you’ve taken a critical strike recently” is an enormous survivability boost. It means we can only take at most one crit every 4 seconds. Since we have 7K life, huge leech, and can dodge most slams, the most significant danger to us is a series of crits that kill us before our leech can replenish our health. Solaris takes care of that as one crit every 4 sec means we have plenty of time to leech back to full health.

[Poe 3.9] Crimson Bow Gladiator, Tornado Shot + Ballista
This build features a reasonably tanky and well-rounded character capable of tackling all of the content this game has to offer. It uses a unique combination of Tornado Shot for map clear and 2 Siege Ballistas for single target damage, with bleed being the primary damaging mechanic.
Pros
+ Good apparent speed and single target
+ Quite tanky thanks to dodge, evasion, corpse removal and Purity Sentinels (bodyguards)
+ Bleedsplosion popcorn sound
+ Relatively cheap to get started
+ Decent but not great for beginners, SSF and league start
+ Almost hardcore viable, almost
Cons
- Requires a few essential items to start rolling
- Siege Ballista might feel clunky/annoying
- End game gear is costly
- Only 5000 to 6000 life
Bandit Reward:
Oak (recommended) OR two passive points
Ascendancy:
Gratuitous Violence -> Arena Challenger -> Outmatch and Outlast
Pantheon:
Major God: Soul of Lunaris
All around best god for evasion based builds. Extra speed is avoidance is always welcome. Solaris and Arakaali can be used too, but Lunaris is what we recommend.
Minor God: Soul of Ryslatha OR Ralakesh
A minor one is more preference-based, you can pick almost anything. Ryslatha is always a good option for builds that use instant flasks to heal up a big hit quickly. Also really useful for labs.
