Path of Exile 2 is a massive expansion of the base game. It has graphical overhauls, new dominance levels, gem system rework, and brand new story campaigns that took place 20 years after Kitava's death. This will become a new bridge for the PoE terminal game mapping system. But this is not a replacement for the original campaign but can play the drive of your choice/favor.
In this week's Path of Exile announcement of the 3.14 expansion live announcement, Path of Exile will share the debut of POE 2 since the information of ExileCon! Although PoE 2 uses the same prototype, 19 new Ascendancy classes are different from the original. This will make it difficult for you to convert old characters. Likewise, you should let your old role rest because of the 20-year time difference between the two. This also means that there are brand new bosses and creatures to defeat. This is the fresh air brought about by the previous quite repeated boss battles.
Path of Exile 2 Beta
Path of Exile is unlikely to launch the Beta version of Path of Exile 2 as early as 2022. At the same time, Path of Exile will continue to release the expansion of Path of Exile on a regular three-month cycle.

Path of Exile 2 Customers and Microtransactions
Path of Exile 2 will be launched on the same game client as the original game. It will be available simultaneously as the current campaign, allowing you to choose the storyline to play to access the World Atlas' shared Endgame. All microtransactions you purchase from Path of Exile 1 will be available in Path of Exile 2.

This is a good sign for any core PoE Currency farmer out there. This is not a very sequel, and it means that there is still a new story to experience in unknown areas. There are many new projects, new skills, and more fun. As it is still under development, it is expected that more information will be available in the coming months and years.
