Are you looking for an up-to-date guide on FFXIV Trials? If you're looking to get all of your quivers from the expansion, look no further! In this guide, we'll cover four of the easier extreme trials, including the Dancing Plague, the Crown of the Immaculate, Cinderdrift, and the Cloud Deck. We'll also cover the drops, cheesing methods, and tips and tricks for each fight.
Dancing Plague and Titania
This fight can be cheesed with a single tank and 7 DPS. You'll want to pause DPS before you hit 60% HP and before you hit 25%. Once you reach 25%, you'll want to look for the voice line "We're sick of this cramped old castle, let's play in the forest!" At this point, the fight will transition, and the tank will need to grab the tether from any DPS. After this, you'll be able to finish the fight without any further mechanics. This fight has a chance to drop a Fake River Trumpet, Dancing Wing (a crafting material for an augmented weapon), FFXIV GIL, and a Weapon Coffer.
Crown of the Immaculate and Vothri Voth
This fight is a joke and can be farmed in under 2.5 minutes. All you need to look for is a red marker on a random DPS and make sure you run it to a corner. The crafting material from this trial isn't worth anything, so only run it if you need the mount.
Cinderdrift and the Ruby Weapon
This fight can be done with 8 DPS, but with lower DPS, you may need to worry about a few mechanics. Flexi Claw will be a pinwheel of AoEs - you'll want to be a little way to the left of where two of the AoEs cross for the safe spot. Raven's Claw will require you to move to the outside of the arena, and identify the safe spot in line with the short fissures. Liquefaction will require each player to pick a fissure and stand at the very tip and move outside of the circle after each hit of the meteor. Lastly, Undermine will require you to stay on your fissure as you move.
Cloud Deck and Chaos
This fight is easily cheesed with 8 DPS. The mechanics you need to look out for are the gap markers, which will require you to move away from the center of the arena, and the red markers, which will require you to move away from the center of the arena and spread out. You'll also need to look out for the stacks, which will require you to move away from the group so the group can take the stacks.
Final Thought
In all of these fights, you'll have a chance to get a mount, totems, and crafting material. The mount is rare and not a guaranteed drop, and the crafting material can be obtained from descending the weapon from the guaranteed weapon drop or Weapon Coffer. Be sure to check your local prices before you begin farming!
